     SOLA Salon

Although, as artists, we attend workshops together, we create our best
pieces alone. Art can be an isolating business. The oxymoron is that we
need each other's reactions to our art. We need each other's eyes,
thoughts and comments to strengthen and fuel our own creative energy.
We've seen art movements arise from strong supportive peer groups. A good
example of this is the French Impressionist movement.

With this peer group support in mind, we put together the SOLA
Salon where we each bring a piece of our work to show and discuss.
Get first hand comments from your peers and learn from their constructive
comments and reactions to your art. Come to a live, round-robin-style
discussion and interaction surrounding your artwork, for this third
Thursday's meeting,at the Pacific Art League at 668 Ramona Street in Palo Alto.

Icebreaker and networking begins at 6:30 pm. Discussion from 7 until 9 pm.

Bring one or two pieces of art, an explanation regarding how and why you
created it and an open mind toward others' creative ideas.
